The film: 'The Queen' is an Academy Award-winning film written by Peter Morgan. From Prime Minister Tony Blair's election win to the death of Princess Diana, which followed not long after, this movie follows the political relationship between the monarchy and the leader of the political party as the country mourns the death of 'the People's Princess.' Helen Mirren also won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The score: The Queen was composed by Alexandre Desplat and nominated for the 2006 Academy Award for Best Original Score. It was also nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music.
