As the Vienna Boys Choir enjoyed a sightseeing tour of London, we spoke to two of the singers and Artistic Director Gerald Wirth.
After concerts in Manchester and Leeds, and ahead of their performances in London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Aberdeen, the singers from the Vienna Boys Choir are taking a well-deserved day off. But Edgar and Joel, and Artistic Director Gerald Wirth stopped off at one of London's most exciting landmarks, the Classic FM studios, for a chat with Lucy Coward.
"England has a very strong tradition in choral music so we felt it's important for us to be back here," said Gerald. "We're very happy that it's happening and we hope we continue with this tradition."
Audiences can expect a programme of Viennese music with favourites from Haydn, Mozart, Bruckner, Schubert, and Brahms, and even a few choral arrangements of music by Billy Joel.
